Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auction house, has closed 2025 with an all-time sales record, generating more than $2.15 billion across its diverse categories — from sports cards and comic books to fine art and memorabilia. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the company has set a new annual benchmark.
The total of $2,158,204,321 not only surpasses Heritage’s previous high of $1.867 billion in 2024 but also highlights the continued strength and passion within the global collectibles market. CEO Steve Ivy emphasized that the year’s success was driven by consistency and depth of demand, proving that collectors worldwide remain deeply committed to acquiring culturally significant and historically important objects.
Standout sales that helped power this record year included:
• The Kobe Bryant–Michael Jordan Dual Logoman card, which set a new record price for any sports card sold at public auction.
• The iconic “Rosebud” sled from Citizen Kane, which fetched $14.75 million.
• Frank Frazetta’s 1967 “Conan” cover painting, achieving a record for comic and fantasy art at auction.
• A top-graded copy of Superman No. 1, which brought in $9.12 million.
In addition to these headline results, Heritage’s sports category alone delivered over $189 million in sales, while the historic numismatics segment — the foundation of the company when it opened in 1976 — posted $470 million.
Heritage also reported that it now has more than 2 million registered online bidders, underscoring its unmatched global reach as the collectibles market continues to grow.
